A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman
This novel is a sweet story about a neighborhood and it’s quirks. It’s told from the perspective of a cranky, yet misunderstood older man named Ove. When a new family moves in next door, Ove is interrupted and forced to acknowledge and occasionally help this family. As the story unfolds, we find out more about Ove’s past and why he is the way he is. In the end, this is a worthwhile story about family, neighbors, and caring for others. Even though I’m sure many have seen the movie, we HIGHLY RECOMMEND reading this book.
