When you are traveling during a rainy season or get caught in a place susceptible to rain storms, always carry a small trash bag in your handbag. When it starts to rain, pull out your plastic bag and cover your purse! My friend gave me this advice when I was heading to NYC and it really saved my nice, leather bag from being completely ruined.
