Seattle, Washington

Au Courant loves Seattle. While it's such a great city to visit anytime of the year, Seattle has the best weather in August and September. From attending a sporting event to visiting the Seattle Art Museum, there is so much to do in the city. Not to mention, there are some great restaurants and amazing shopping.

If you have a sports-loving family, Seattle has three very popular sports teams. Between the Seattle Seahawks NFL team, the Seattle Sounders soccer team, and the Seattle Mariners MLB team, you'll have a blast!

For art-lovers, visit the EMP and the Seattle Art Museum (the Andrew Wyeth retrospective is going on through January 2018) and, weather permitting, the outdoor Japanese Sculpture Garden or Chihuly Glass and Garden.

In the summer months, enjoy the outdoors and take a boat ride on Lake Washington. You can charter a float plane and take an aerial tour of the Northwest as well.

Taking the monorail from downtown to Seattle Center will allow you to enjoy the Space Needle and the Frank Gehry-designed EMP (experience Music Project), now called the Museum of Pop Culture (MoPOP).

Where to Shop / what to do

Nordstrom Flagship

Newly renovated, you have to go see it in the heart of downtown Seattle for some power shopping. Plan to spend several hours here because there is something for everybody from Chanel to Vans. They have an espresso bar, two restaurants and even a floral department.
