Self Isolating? Here are Some Ideas to Pass the Time
This is a rather uncertain time for us all so we wanted to give you a few ideas that are helping us pass the time at home.
Tackle unfinished projects
Whether its cleaning out a room or the garage, organizing pictures and photo albums, updating your address book, sending thank you notes, there’s always an unfinished project to take on.
Finish DIY projects you’ve already started
This might be knitting, needlepoint, painting or building.
Catch up on your reading list or revisit your favorite books
Some of our suggestions are:
Take a virtual tour of Museums
These 12 world-famous museums offer virtual tours that you can enjoy from the comfort of your home.
Get outside to exercise
Go for a hike, take a walk around your neighborhood, practice yoga, follow an online dance cardio class or stretch, but always practice social distancing and do not gather in groups. Exercise can make you feel happier, more energetic and help with relaxation and sleep.
Have a spa day
Brighten, tighten and firm and clear your skin by making a homemade face mask.
Watch your favorite movies or the Best Picture winners
Our family has made a ‘movie bowl’ where everyone has dropped in three to five movie titles. We plan to draw from the bowl every night and watch the selected movie. No complaining or arguments allowed - just family movie nights every night until this crisis is over!
Binge watch the best TV shows you missed
We recommend:
The Crown
Game of Thrones
Downton Abbey
Stranger Things
Breaking Bad
House of Cards
Succession
Killing Eve
The Office
Friends
Parks and Recreation
Weeds
Homeland
Portlandia
Gilmore Girls
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel
