Tattoo Exhibition at LA Natural History Museum

Although they say that this show has been 5,000 years in the making, TATTOO first premiered in Paris, France in 2014. Tattoos – ink markings on the body – are a significant part of many cultures across the globe. Whether tribal markings, an expression of nautical pride, a body painting or part of a sacred ritual, tattoos evoke a mysterious veil to the beholder. Learn about Los Angeles’ tattoo scene - famous tattoo artists, gang markings and the home of LA’s most famous ink parlors. There is an on-site parlor where a limited number of people can sign up for a tat by a local artist. Exhibition ends April 15th.
