Jasmine Little
I have an affinity for ceramics, probably because my mom used to create works with her friends in Topanga Canyon in the 1970’s. She used to make beads and weave them into her macrame potted plant holders.
Jasmine Little is an artist I was introduced to by my friends, artists Jonas Wood and his wife Shio Kusaka, one of the most coveted ceramicists at the moment. Jonas collects the works of many emerging artists and has them displayed at his studio.
Jasmine’s art immediately caught my eye - the raw terra cotta color, the utilitarian shapes and sizes and the decorative carvings. Jasmine’s designs range from either very contemporary or reminiscent of ancient Greek vessels.
