Bad Blood by John Carreyrou

Bad Blood reveals the meteoric rise and eventual collapse of Theranos, a Silicon Valley biotech startup, set out to change the world of medicine and health care. Elizabeth Holmes, Theranos’ founder and CEO, dreamed of becoming a billionaire since she was a young girl. By the time this Stanford dropout – and so-called female Steve Jobs – was in her mid thirties, she was worth $4.7 billion. Theranos's board members included the likes of George Schultz, James Mattis and Henry Kissinger, and Rupert Murdoch, President Obama and Chelsea Clinton were amongst Holmes's inner circle. Bad Blood is written by Wall Street Journal investigative reporter John Carreyrou, who was given a tip about what is said to be the biggest corporate fraud since Enron, and ultimately brought down this massively deceptive start-up giant.
