Dorm Room Decorating Ideas

Back-to-school season is officially here so we thought we’d share some of our picks for the best dorm room decor.

Let’s start with bedding...for girls, it’s easy to coordinate with roommates when choosing colors and patterns. Boys, on the other hand, are not interested in a “decorated room” so be mindful and choose clean and easy styles without too much extra stuff.

The Serena and Lily Tent Sale is great option for quality bedding at reasonable prices.

The Company Store has everything you need from twin XL sheets to mattress toppers, etc.

Bed Bath & Beyond is always a favorite for everything but the kitchen sink, plus you can order and pick up in the location of your college for an easy move-in.

Dormify has really nice and light headboards that are made specifically for twin XL dorm beds.

This Bed Shelfie is very useful and makes a great addition to any dorm room.

RH Teen has something for everyone - girls, boys, teens, college students, and those decorating their first apartments.

Rhino Trunk makes durable storage solutions for under the bed or it can double as a coffee table or seat if necessary. Decorate with stickers or add contrasting stripes using gaffer tape (easily found on Amazon) in a variety of colors. You could even customize with a monogram or school spirit colors. You can also find Rhino trunks on Amazon and Bed, Bath and Beyond

Etsy is a wonderful source for all things monogrammed at reasonable prices. They also have posters and decorative items for decorating the walls. We love this wedge pillow for reading or doing homework on your bed.
