Patrick Foley's Summer Loving Top Picks
Patrick Foley is the resident makeup artist at Barneys New York in Beverly Hills. Here are his top picks for this summer:
Beach Makeup
Yes, there is such a thing when you live in Los Angeles. If you know you're going to be in the sun for most of the day—whether it's at a party or running errands—it's important to wear SPF. I doubt you'll find a more lightweight beautiful finish than Cle de Peaus UV protective tinted cream with a 50+ spf. It does not look or feel like makeup but manages to give coverage to even out skin tone.
A Hint of Bronze
This new bronzer from Chantecaille has the most beautiful finish. A glow that highlights the skin with absolutely no sparkle. It is limited and very, very special. I love it.
Touching Veil
This touch-up concealer from Hourglass manages to hide any dark circles or blemishes in problem areas, without ever looking dry. I also think it's so convenient to have as a carry-on to touch up around the nose rather than using powder.
Farrah Pink
I'm obviously partial to this beautiful shade of pink. It took me two years to create this tone in collaboration with Nude Envie. This light sheer pink is the perfect color for the summer.
L'eau Tan
This unique self tanner from Chanel that works like a dry oil just gives a hint of color to the legs. What's great about this blend is it's buildable if you want more color and gives almost an airbrushed look to the legs.
